Sui Utik People
Iban people – who lives at Sui Utik (West Kalimantan) – lives in harmony with their environment. They keep their ancestor forest from loggings and oil palm plantation invasions. Shifting cultivation runs in wise ways here, put human as a part of the ecosystem itself. Although most of Iban people are Christian, they still run their ancestor’s believe. Their main ceremony is Hari Gawai – the paddy rice harvesting festival. |
