Nomadic Penan
The Penan (Serawak – Malaysia), nomadic hunter-gatherers, living in primary rainforest in deepest Borneo. They survive on staple foods like sago roots found in the forest and hunting wild animals with blowpipes. Their life are threatened by logging and oil palm plantation. Malaysian government tries to resettle them by build them Rumah Panjang – regular found Dayak’s communal house. |
