The Higaonon
Higaonon – literally means "people of the wilderness", is one of the least known ethnolinguistic groups that inhabit North-Central Mindanao – Philippines. They live in provinces of Bukidnon, Agusan del Sur, and Misamis. Most Higaonon still have a rather traditional way of living. Agriculture, hunting and gathering runs in very traditional way – always relates with their traditional religion. Even when they already Christianized, no one is against the recounting of stories concerning their traditional religion. |
